POKEMON GO – Map Theme Remix

Call it a hunch, but I think Japan’s still trying to iron out the kinks for Pokemon Go.

All I know is that for a brief moment, there was an Eevee hanging out at the local gas pump last Monday and that smug little punk is still taunting me.

The music is pretty cool though. It’s like a happy version of the Gen 1 battle theme. I decided to remix it just before summer holidays start. Hope you like it!

Storm Touch OST

Hey! A mobile game I made the music and SFX for has just been released.

Download here!

The game is called Storm Touch and was developed by QSI, a studio I’ve collaborated with numerous times.
It’s a fun logic / physics based puzzle game that can be enjoyed in a relaxing or intense manner. Pick your poison!
The game is available on PC and for free on Android (sorry iPhone users…)

The music is a little more chilled out than my usual stuff, but it’s probably one of my best game OSTs to date. See below for the tracks!

War Never Changes

Well it’s certainly been a great hiatus since my last update.

The reason for that is because earlier this year, I moved to Japan. I’ve had an amazing time here and I intend to stay for a long time.

Unfortunately, most of my gear is still back in Australia, meaning that my music making capabilities are diminished somewhat.

That doesn’t mean that I’m stopping however. I have a few tracks almost ready for release. But for now, I have this remix of Fallout’s theme song, because I am SO PSYCHED FOR ITS RELEASE NEXT MONTH!

You can download the track here
Fallout is owned by Bethesda. Original theme by Inon Zur.

Have a good one!

EOY Round-up & Into The West

Without going into too much detail, 2014 wasn’t the best year. Still, I had some awesome gigs at Neko Nation and a set at Reclaim the Streets.

My Neko Nation set from October is probably the best I’ve ever done and can be listened to here:

Also, with the Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies released in cinemas, I thought “Why not? For old time’s sake.” and reprised Annie Lennox’s Into The West from the Lord Of The Rings trilogy. Download here. Big thanks to my mate Varg for helping me get that bassline perfect! Also, in case you’re wondering, the key is different to the original because I can’t hit that damn high note.

Anyways, here’s to an awesome 2015 for all of us!

TTDYD & Neko Nation Mixes

I’ve been very busy with well… everything lately, but it doesn’t mean I can’t squeeze some new material out every now and then!

Back in 2014, I made a track which I called “Til The Day You Die”. I wanted to try a new take on it, making it meatier and more club-friendly. While I’m still not sure what to do with it, I’m very happy with the result so please give it a listen!

ALSO

So I regularly DJ at a frikken amazing club night called Neko Nation, an Australia-wide event featuring crazy Japanese thematics, eclectic music and a borderline unhealthy obsession with cats. Yes, it IS an awesome night and you should totally go to the next one if it’s in your area. http://www.nekonation.com/

Global Game Jam 2014 – Homeless

Global Game Jam is a yearly international event where amateur, professional and semi-pro game designers get together in teams to make a game in 48 hours. No mean feat.

I entered for the third time this year and helped create a game called “Homeless” a game where you take the role of a homeless person. Our team ended up taking the “Technical Excellence” award for this title at the Sydney showcase. I’ve made the main track for the game available to download in the O.STS section of this site.

This is also my second “Jammie”. The Jammie on the left was given to me for my team’s game O2 which we submitted last year, bagging us the “Best Game” award.

Play O2 here.

To see a full listing of the Global Game Jam 2014 Sydney entries, click here. There was some good stuff. REALLY good stuff on display this year.

In more musical news, I finally decided to get PSP StereoPack, because I felt that the stereo elements of my music were lacking. The interface looks like garbage, but the power under the hood is definitely there, and I’m really looking forward to giving the VSTs a proper workout with my upcoming tracks. Things have been pretty quiet but there will be a big swathe of new tracks up here soon.
